Squirrels Must Die!
At first I thought she just wanted to work out with me, or perhaps just spot me:
But it soon became apparent she was no dummy, that bench was simply a conduit for her lookout perch (July 19, 2010, and note the Vince Young poster in the background.)
Guarding the office wasn't quite as difficult. (June 27, 2008)
She actually did chase down a squirrel once. I think she was so surprised she actually caught it that she didn't know what to do but just nudge it along with her nose. Then again, this was her strategy when she got to ducks as well. (She never quite caught up with a rabbit that I can remember.) I like to think she was just to sweet to do any harm, but I'm sure her instinct was that these animals were supposed to be dead when she retrieved them.
And when she was done chasing them? Let me back inside!
Of course that screen was broken so she could have just jumped right on through, which she eventually realized thanks to her Auntie Emma.
